ECB - Plenary synergy
The ECB - Plenary synergy is both the most important and most beautiful type of synergy you’ll have during your term. The ECB would not be able to exist without a plenary, the same as how a plenary wouldn’t function without an ECB. Think about it!
Some things that you should keep in mind related to this synergy are:
Being very visible in your plenary
The ECB team should be VERY LOUD AND PROUD by all means. The plenary should be aware of the existence of this team and the support that they can give. Your ECB team identity should be known by everyone (preferably something catchy or relatable), as well as the who-does-what so that the plenary knows who they can approach in each situation. You want to attend (and remind your MC to invite you) to network calls, summits, conferences and any other touchpoints that you might have with the national entity.
Personalize the support that you give
Don’t play the “one size fits all” card with your plenary. Each LC has its own individual reality and needs. Adapt your support based on that and try to customize it as much as possible. Make sure that you are available and give fast answers, so any bad situation can be prevented and “fire-fought” in no time.
Use Instagram as a communication tool
Create an Instagram account and use it for your own benefit. This is a great way to also really inforce the ECB team identity and make it as visible and embraced as possible. Create education posts and stories and share them with your plenary. Instagram is also a great tool to make the ECB seem more fun, youthful, and approachable — so use it to the fullest! Create quizzes and funny stories and be known as the coolest kids in town.
Be very well informed
The ECB is the wire that connects any entity with the ICB. Therefore, you are the people that hold the power of information. Make sure that you are constantly updated with the news coming from the ICB (by attending our calls and conferences) and that you spread them as fast as possible. You should also be well prepared and available to answer any questions that might come up from your plenary.
