ICB Survey
The ICB survey is a semesterly survey downscaled by ICB, in order to assess and measure the network status.
The survey is composed of a myriad of questions, ranging from all three ICB departments: Board Development, Audit & Compliance, and Customer Support. Its data is used to update the Development Index and to improve the quality of the services that ICB offers to the network.
After assessing the data from the survey, the Board Development team updates the Development Index with its answers, and proceeds with the clusterization, in order to group the entities according to their processes and enhances the support that is offered to them.
If you’re an ECB Chair, you must’ve seen (or had) quite some funny reactions when ICB downscales the (not so) awaited ICB SURVEY! And even if you’re an ECB member or an MCER, chances are you heard your entity’s Chair complain to you about how long and tiring it feels — but have you stopped to ask why we have it?
Contrary to what you might think, our objective as ICB and BD is NOT to bore you or overwhelm you with unnecessary forms and surveys for our own pleasure — our job is already entertaining (#pipeline). Our objective though is to develop and support YOU!
Here’s how the ICB Survey contributes to that.
Its frequency: Semesterly (used to be quarterly)
Its purpose: to assess and monitor the network status.
Its structure: a myriad of questions, related to all three ICB departments: Board Development, Audit & Compliance, and Customer Support.
Its data: used to update the Development Index and to improve the quality of the services that ICB offers to the network.
Its way forward: after assessing the data from the survey, the Board Development team updates the Development Index with its answers, generates a Cluster Report, then proceeds with the clusterization (twice per year) in order to group the entities according to their processes and enhances the support that is offered to them.
Its value: without ICB Survey, we wouldn’t have a mechanism to identify knowledge gaps, red flags, execution problems, support needed, urgent interventions, and so on and so forth.
Here you can take a look at the form of the last ICB Survey downscaled in July.
