ECB-ICB Synergy

After you finished reading the previous articles about synergy, the only thing left for you to master is your interaction with us!
You might've seen this slide before in the VICO Output, where we talked about the different connections an ECB should work on. This checklist includes (but is not limited to) the actions an ECB Chair (or its proxy) is accountable to fulfil vis-à-vis ICB.

This checklist is mostly based on the following APIP clause
11.3.4.4. The ECB Chair is required to:
11.3.4.4.1. Sign the ECB Establishment Letter and send it to the ICB Chair and MCP, before every ILM, respecting the timeline settled by the Global Membership Subcommittee Chair.
11.3.4.4.2. Represent the ECB in harassment committees during cases involving exchange participants, if needed.
11.3.4.4.3. Represent the board in national legislation meetings by reporting the progress of the board and contributing to discussions related to the purpose of ECB.
11.3.4.4.4. Complete ICB Survey semesterly, to be downscaled by ICB.
11.3.4.4.5. Respond to the demands of ICB when the respective Entity is selected for Auditing, by submitting documents that conform to the instructions of ICB.
11.3.4.4.6. Provide quarterly reports to ICB including but not limited to: consultancies offered, cases solved, audits conducted and its results.
You might be thinking "OMG WHY ALL OF THIS?!", and we can relate to that — we were all ECB Chairs once. But what you need to understand is that this is not for nothing, and this is certainly not for our pleasure — it's for YOU!
The only reason why you find us so pushy reminding you to book a O2O or attend a call is, well, because WE CARE. We chose the word Caring as one of our DRIVERS because we do concern ourselves with your development and your progress.
Even though we work by the principle of "catch more with sugar than a stick", there still is another side to this. Since ECB Chairs are ACCOUNTABLE to ICB, and because there needs to be equally positive and negative incentives, you want to keep in mind that repetitve negligence regarding these responsibilites can put you in a scenario none of us enjoys...
APIP writes:
11.3.8.2. The ECB Chair can be dismissed by MCP and the ICB Chair under the following circumstances:
[...]
11.3.8.2.8. Not attending any ICB touchpoint (One-to-One with Coach, Global Call, Regional Call) for 2 successive months.
11.3.8.2.9. Not submitting 2 successive ICB Forms (ICB Survey and Audit Report)
11.3.8.2.10. Failing to fulfill 2 or more of the ECB Chair responsibilities listed under the clause 11.3.4.4
Whether you choose to be driven by conviction or coercion, we hope you get to understand how important it is for you to connect with ICB. The closer you are to us, the better we can serve you. Read that again.
